Application
How many here are natives of another country?
Have you lived here long enough to not miss your own country?
Don’t you find yourself having a desire to go back, at least to visit your own country?

Vicki and I lived in a foreign land for 16 yrs – as missionaries in Colombian jungle
We had our children there, and lived in the jungle with and like the local people

David was in exile – making the best of a difficult situation
He lived running for his life
God protected him and kept him from traitorous acts against his own people because DAVID trusted in God for protection
In the worst of conditions (destruction, devastation, loss, potential coup, and death) at the hands of his own men – GOD was his protection

Who is your protection?
Who do you put your trust in?
Are you escaping from every enemy?
