Operation Christmas Child 2007 –

A report from the Operation Christmas Child 2007 Missions project – Friday Night Fellowship Children collected 9 shoe boxes, while the whole ACBC congregation collected a total of 54 shoe boxes.

Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. This program of Samaritan’s Purse provides an opportunity for people of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands—on missions project while focusing on the true meaning of Christmas—Jesus Christ.

Albuquerque Chinese Baptist Church (ACBC) is participating in the Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child project. Small items, toys, toiletries (no liquids), socks, school supplies (no books) will be put into shoe boxes provided by the church. Inside each shoe box is a Gospel booklet. These shoe boxes are sent around the world to children in war zones and famine countries. Eight million shoe boxes will be sent this year. Please give any new items you bring or money money/check to Ben Hsia. The check should be made payable to ACBC and indicate “Samaritan’s Purse” or “Shoe box” on the memo. The final date is Sunday, November 18.
